This class is suitable for: All ages of any ability.

This class started in March 2018. After being online for 16 months we are now back again on 8th September 2021 to continue - Upper Norwood Library (Crystal Palace)

Since 2008: South London T’ai Chi run weekly classes for businesses as well as over 50s and mature people in South London including Wandsworth and Lambeth Councils , “Healthy Lifestyles” initiated by Lambeth Council for patients referred by GPs as well as “Lambeth Age UK”, “Age Concern Wandsworth”, “Alzheimers Societies” in South London, “Society of Sacred Heart” and many other smaller and larger societies.

I have decided to open my classes in Crystal Palace to all ages (not including children) as we all strive for a sense of well-being or wish to maintain good coordination and flexibility or may be recovering from health issues.

This class syllabus includes: Warm up and Balance Improvement exercises, Taichi Walking, Shi Ba Shi (Qigong - T’ai Chi), Partner Work and the Yang Style 8 movements Form leading to 37 movement Yang Style Form.

As a result of teaching and broadcasting 125 online sessions (March 2020 - July 2021), a large archive of video materials have been processed, edited and collated as a: “Choose and Pick Cluster” available to fee paying students for their solo practice and catch up viewing. This class is open to all ages of any abilities (This is a drop in - advanced monthly payment is not required). This session has vacancies.

This class is suitable for: Over 50s

Since 2008: South London T’ai Chi used to run weekly classes as part of Wandsworth Council’s Active Lifestyles 50+ Programme which was dedicated to promoting and encouraging physical activity and exercise amongst over 50s in Wandsworth. Since July 2010: These weekly classes continue to run in collaboration between the Katherine Low Settlement and South London Taichi.

The class syllabus includes: Warm up and Meditation exercises, Balance Improvement, Chi Walking, Shi Ba Shi, Partner Work and the Yang Style 8 movements Form: 8 Steps YANG Style Form Demonstration leading to the Yang Style Cheng Man-ch’ing’s Short Form.

This class is suitable for: All

South London T’ai Chi and the Katherine Low Settlement have started a new course for the community from 2010 at the Katherine Low Settlement, 108 Battersea High Street, London, SW11 3HP. The class had been originally established around the “Women of Wandsworth” (WOW Mums Group) however, is now open to all.

The class syllabus includes: Warm up and Qigong exercises, Balance Improvement, Chi Walking, Shi Ba Shi, Partner Work, Push Hands and the Yang Style Cheng Man-ch’ing’s Short Form leading to Yang Chengfu’s Long Form.

As a result of teaching and broadcasting 125 online sessions (March 2020 - July 2021), a large archive of video materials have been processed, edited and collated as a: “Choose and Pick Cluster” available to fee paying students for their solo practice and catch up viewing.

Private tuition on Taichi and Dynamic Balance Improvement provided by appointment only (One-to-One). 

This class is suitable for: for all ages

Since 2008 I have tutored many number of private students of all ages and professions. This is by appointment and initially for six sessions only. After an evaluation further session are then agreed on. Frequency of meetings and locations in a mutually agreed location is negotiated.

One to One sessions can accommodate students with varying disabilities and energy levels. A series of “Sitting Exercises” have been developed to cater for more mature students.
